Dr. Anil Rick Soordhar received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (general dentist) degree in June 2004 from the University of Western Ontario. Since graduation as a general dentist, he has accumulated over 1300 hours in Continuing Dental Education courses with a focus on*:

  • Orthodontic and Orthopedic Treatment for children, teenagers, and adults

  • Implantology (dental implant surgery and restoration, bone grafting, sinus lifts)

  • Cosmetic Dentistry and Full mouth rehabilitation

  • Kids dentistry

  • Extractions and bone grafting

  • Root Canal Therapy

  • Periodontal Gum Surgery (Plastic Gum Surgery, Gum Grafting, Crown Lengthening)

  • TMJ and Headache (Craniofacial – Head, and Neck) Pain treatment using dental orthotics (aka splint) and physical modalities (ex. acupuncture, ultrasound, spray and stretch, HV stimulation, trigger point injections, cold laser treatment)

  • Sleep apnea

 

As a general dentist, he has completed extensive studies in the areas of Orthodontics, Craniofacial (TMJ, Head and Neck) Pain and Implantology (surgery and restoration)*.

Doctor of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) - General Dentist

Dr. Vick Soordhar graduated from the Temple University, School of Dentistry in 2007 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania as a Doctor of Dental Medicine (general dentist)

Since graduation as a general dentist, he has completed over 1200 hours of continuing education in various areas of dentistry*:

  • Oral surgery (wisdom teeth extractions, biopsies, bone grafting, and membrane placement)

  • Implant dentistry (surgical placement and restorations)

  • Sleep dentistry using Nitrous Oxide/Laughing Gas, Oral Sedation, and IV sedation

  • Periodontal surgeries (gum shrinks, gum grafting)

  • Endodontics (root canals)

  • Temporomandibular joint dysfunction (TMD)

  • Craniofacial pain and headaches therapy

  • Clenching, grinding and bruxism

  • Sleep disorder breathing/sleep apnea

  • Orthopedic and Orthodontic Treatment for children, teenagers, and adults suffering from Temporomandibular Joint Dysfunction (TMD)

  • A.L.F. Orthodontic Treatment (Advanced Lightwire Functional Appliance)

 

As a general dentist, he has completed a residency program in TMD and Craniofacial pain through the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain and obtained his Fellowship in 2013. In 2011, he completed a residency program for Implantology and IV Sedation with the American Academy of Implant Dentistry.

He has completed extensive studies in the areas of Orthopedic, Orthodontic and Temporomandibular Joint Disorders and Craniofacial (TMJ, head, and neck) pain and Implantology (surgery and restoration).
