Dr. Soordhar completed a dental bone graft for a failed root canal tooth with a fracture and infection. A diminished traumatic tooth extraction technique was used to remove the tooth to minimize tissue distruction. The tooth and root came out in 2 seperate pieces and the infection was able to be removed out. The socket bone grafting augmentation allowed for soft and hard tissue preservation so that the final tooth implant had a natural appearance. Dr. Soordhar completed an advance bone grafting for a large bone defect and implant placement for his patient. The patient presented with a loose tooth and infection. The xray showed a root fracture along with extensive bone loss from the infection. There was extensive buccal and lingual bone loss as expected from the initial assessment. A guided bone regeneration (dental bone grafting) using a resorbable membrane and mineralized bone graft was completed to rebuild the bone. After the bone graft healed, the implant surgery was completed and a dental implant tooth was placed.
